Hi!  My name is Four.  I just turned a year old in November.   The first several months of my life I lived where I was born and was confined all the time.  Then I spent a few months living where I was allowed to come and go as I wanted and sometimes I wandered away for days at a time.  I was not treated with kindness by some people there and no one bothered to teach me anything.  That family felt I was too shy and submissive for them.  Now that I've spent a few weeks in my new foster home, I am the most loveable boy ever! Every day I'm less afraid when new people want to meet me and if someone reaches for me it's not so scary.  I do full body wags when I see anyone I recognize and get so excited when my new mom comes home.  I also have some new foster siblings that can be really fun to play with.  A couple of them have told me they don't care to play with me and I leave them alone now.  We also have a kitty and he said he doesn't want to play so I leave him alone now too.

Sometimes I get to go to work with my new mom and even though it's a vet clinic I love everyone there and they think I'm great! We've also taken trips to some pet friendly stores and I am so good and mind my manners.  Mom says she's so proud of how much progress I've made and we can start looking for my perfect forever home.  She says that will be a family that will keep me as their own for the rest of my life.   They will have a fenced yard to keep me safe so I'm not tempted to wander again, they will keep taking me places to meet new people so I will remember that is not scary.  I would enjoy having another playful dog to live with but would also be happy having people all to myself.  I will need someone who will make sure I get plenty of exercise and training.  I already know to go to my kennel and not to potty in the house and I'm a good boy riding in the car.
