Hi I’m Greta! I’m looking for my forever home now and wondering if that could be with you? I’m a beautiful split face, tri color border collie mix. I’m small and slim at 30 lbs, 7-8 months old, and very much a puppy! My foster mom says I am a blank slate, whatever that is, and I am up for learning anything FUN!! I LOVE my foster mom! She’s taught me proper house manners, like counter surfing isn’t cool. I am VERY treat motivated and have learned “look, sit, and down” and am practicing all 4 feet on the floor when I greet people. That’s really hard ‘cuz I love people so much! I have learned to walk on a leash, and LOVE walking 3-4 miles daily and building my endurance. The Olympics are starting, right? My foster mom thinks I would be a good running partner or would like hiking on trails in the woods. We practice name recognition with look and sit while on walks, and I’m doing great!! I am learning that other dogs and people aren’t nearly as interesting as the treats I get while learning. I will need daily exercise because of my high energy level, and someone committed to continued training and mental stimulation for me to be a happy, content girl. Did I mention that I LOVE toys?? I like to destuff and take out the squeaky stuffs, but I love my Benebone, and hard tough toys! Tennis balls are my favorite and I will retrieve the ball every time. I will exchange a tennis ball for another, or better yet, a treat. I love frisbees, too, and will jump very high with all 4 feet off the ground to get it. With practice, and training, I think I could excel at disc. I will need a back yard with a fence to keep me safe. I am living with 2 foster sisters, but they don’t appreciate my play style. I am sure the toys are mine and don’t really like to share them with my sisters. I would probably be best as an only dog so I can give you all my love and kisses! I am crate trained, housebroken, and ride well in the car in a crate. I won’t be able to live with cats, I want to chase and catch anything small and furry. I am ok with kids, and older kids might be best ‘cuz I can get excited and knock a little one down. I do get a little mouthy when excited, my foster mom is working with me on this. I do love to give lots of kisses!! At my foster home, we have these things called grandkids. Oh boy, they are great fun. They are quick learners, too, and I’ve trained them to throw my ball for me. I am up to date on my shots, spayed and microchipped. I will be ready for adoption soon and am being fostered in the Kansas City area. I’m so excited to meet my forever family. Could it be you?
