Mac (AKA Max) was picked up from a craigslist ad in Springfield, MO.  I didn't know what to expect when I met the transport at the halfway mark. When I reached in to get him he had a beautiful smile greeting me and hopped right in my car and was ready to go.  He was unaltered and had some stinky breath and both of those issues have been resolved.  He is in good health otherwise.  His first night he was very comfortable meeting my other two males (4 and 13) and would not get in their way when sleeping.  He slept a bit further away. He is now sharing beds with them and very comfortable being in the back seat of the car with them.  At 14 years of age I would think he would be very slow and not interested in play but he is an active senior.  While not interested in chasing balls or frisbees, he is active on walks and very happy to be the pack leader.

He loves to snuggle and accompany the other dogs to the vet as a therapy dog for them and to have a few treats. We are working on perfection with the house training and bell ringing to go outside.  He knows sit, stay and down.  Haven't worked too much on other commands because he was neutered and then teeth cleaned within two weeks and I let him rest.  When he goes in or out of the house he waits at the door for a command to break. He is sensitive to pulling on the leash or collar and to other dogs stepping on him.  That may be something we can figure out.  His favorite time of day is bedtime when he can snuggle with his other two buddies or next to his human. This14 year old is a gem!
