Jax is a handsome, black and white, freckled , 2 year old Border Collie cross weighing in at 47 lbs. He is a sweet boy who is always happy to see you. He has loved all the humans he has met. He is a little too eager to meet dogs and wants to make them all his best friends. So, he will need some guidance reeling in his enthusiasm. He plays well with the small resident dog. He would benefit and love to have a dog friend to play with. 

Jax loves attention and giving you kisses. He may even fall asleep standing up while you love on him. He likes soft toys, kongs and Nyla bones. He can entertain himself by throwing toys up in the air or join you for a game of tug. He likes to play fetch and has learned to include you in that game as well. He delights in playing ball and going over agility jumps in the backyard. He enjoys being brushed and bathed, but is not sure about having the blowout experience. He likes to go on walks. He can also be cuddly and is a leaner.

He will work for food or treats and is eager to learn new things. He is working on the following skills: sit, down, wait, spin, twirl, hide, come, place, kennel and give it. We are also working on boundary and calming games that help him use his nose. 

He can be a little pushy and is mouthy at times, but has really improved. Therefore, the best home for him would be with older, dog savvy kiddos. He has not been cat tested, so we are not sure about feline companions for him. 

Jax is house broken and kennel trained. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.

Jax is being fostered in the Manhattan, KS area.
