Finn is an affectionate black and white Border Collie mix, estimated to be 1 year old. Though he was found in a rural area, assumed dumped, he acts like he’s lived in a house and known love. He enjoys meeting people of all ages and genders but can be shy if you crouch and baby talk him.

Finn respects his older canine housemates and loves chasing and gently wrestling with his 1 year old housemate. He enjoys dog parks and has polite dog-to dog manners. He has shown no food, treat, space, etc guarding behaviors and is content to share couch and bed space with his housemates. After a romp session, he is content to lay on the couch with his people. He settles down quickly after he's had play time or exercise. He likes to chase a thrown tennis ball but is adorably terrible at catching it.

During his foster parents workday, Finn does well in his kennel. He goes in on cue and respects the barrier baby gates in the house. He also respects the chain link fence as he sasses the bold deer on the other side. Finn walks well on leash and enjoyed his 3 mile walk his second day in foster care. He is treat motivated, so learning beyond “sit” and “crate” will be easy. Finn appears to be potty trained. He would do best with a canine housemate since he enjoys having a dog friend.

Finn is being fostered in the Kansas City, MO area.
