Andy is a Border Collie puppy who was saved on August 11th during a neglect/hoarding seizure. With good food, vaccines, and treatment for parasites, he has no residual effects. He is a BOLD, energetic outgoing, adventurous puppy. He would excel at obedience, scent work and agility training. Andy’s ideal adopter would have a playful dog friend, a fenced yard, training experience and an understanding of a Border Collie’s instinct to herd, nip, and have a mind of their own. Small children are not recommended due to his perpetual love of jumping, play-nipping people and chewing everything he can reach. Andy is crate trained and thinks before he barks. He knows where to potty outside and does his business outside. He can keep a clean crate for 6 hours at a time. However, he likes to stop and empty his bladder during play and will do so inside. He will need consistency and a plan for potty-training. Andy is being fostered in the Kansas City area.
