Maia is a 10 week old female, possibly Aussie mix who was dumped or found as a stray.  Maia has a lot of personality!  She loves toys, people, doggie friends, and mostly FOOD! Maia is getting more outgoing and confident every day.  She is extremely smart and catching on to crate training, housebreaking and leash training.  She is also starting to learn a few tricks and commands. 

She is interested in playing with the other dogs and would probably enjoy being a playmate.  However, she is also pretty focused on her person so a playmate would not be fully necessary as long as she was otherwise properly entertained. She is also learning not to chase the kitties!

Maia needs continued working on body handling, nail trimming and not treating people like chew toys!  Maia has a moderate to high energy level and will  need plenty of good leadership and mental stimulation.  She would probably love scent work and possibly other sports as long as food is involved! Maia would not be suitable for a home with children under 10 years of age.
