Meet Luna – Your Future Adventure Buddy!

Luna is a sweet and playful 1.5-year-old Border Collie who is ready to find her forever family! We are so grateful to everyone who supported her through her surgery and recovery after a fractured femur. She is now fully healed, up to date on all her vaccines, and eager to start a new chapter of her life.

About Luna: Luna is a petite 29 lb girl with a beautiful, affectionate personality. After coming from a more rural environment, she’s adjusting to city life and discovering all the new sights, sounds, and smells! Luna is extremely intelligent, loves being active, and is always up for a new adventure with her people. She thrives on learning, enjoys training sessions, and would love to join an active family.

What Luna Loves:

    •    Short walks: Luna enjoys going on walks with her foster sister and would love a family who enjoys daily strolls or more active outings like hiking or running.

    •    Playtime: She enjoys a good game of fetch, chewing on a bone, or working on her favorite frozen Kong.

    •    Training: Luna is a star learner and loves working for treats! She already knows commands like "sit," "shake," "down," "look," "outside," "potty," and "kennel," and is currently perfecting "wait" and "stay."

    •    People: Luna is a love bug who wants to be by your side, whether it’s snuggling during a movie or just chilling at your feet. She craves connection and would thrive in a home where she can be the center of attention.

    •    Car rides: Luna loves hopping in the car, exploring parks, and visiting dog-friendly stores.

Luna’s Perfect Home: Luna is looking for an active home with an experienced adopter who understands the needs of the Border Collie breed and can continue her positive reinforcement training. She is a smart and curious girl who will benefit from continued confidence-building and obedience activities. Luna has a strong “BC eye” and loves focusing on her people. She is great on a leash and would enjoy walks, hikes, and other outdoor adventures.

Luna’s Ideal Companion: Luna enjoys the company of other dogs, but she’s happiest with her favorite humans. She would be fine as the only dog in the home but could also live with a non-dominant, easygoing dog after proper introductions. She is not a fan of dog parks but does well with chill playdates. Luna would do best in a home without small furries due to her herding instincts.

    •    Luna’s leg is fully healed, and she is ready for action!

    •    She’s up to date on all vaccines, preventatives, and is spayed.

    •    Luna will need a fenced yard to keep her safe while she plays and explores.
