Honey is a 3-4 month old female who definitely lives up to her name! This sweet girl loves cuddles and belly rubs and is a friend of everyone she meets. Honey currently weighs about 17 lbs and our best guess is some mix of Border collie, sheltie, and cattle dog. Honey and her siblings came from a shelter in Texas that requested help from breed rescue. Honey is crate trained and working on house training. She rides well in the car (crated) and does fairly well on a leash. She enjoys toys, chew bones, stuffed kongs and more. She loves playing with her foster siblings and has a medium energy level. She is also very food motivated! She does not appear to be a high drive dog but could possibly make fun little performance dog, companion or possibly pet therapy dog. She is not afraid to jump or climb and used the stairs the first day at her foster home as well as jumped on the couch! She has been helping herself to the agility equipment in the yard as well. Honey would enjoy another dog to play with but could also be happy as an only dog. She is a needy girl who could bond quickly to someone but does have a stubborn streak! Honey would be best in a home with older children. Honey is interested in the cats and will bark at them if she’s in her crate so would need continued training on leaving them alone! Honey will be available towards the end of March. Honey is being fostered in the Springfield, Mo area.
